We are delighted to announce that our tours are up and running once again. Please note that some of our tours have changed to those previously advertised. We are fortunate that the majority of our tours are conducted in small numbers and are held outdoors. However, mindful of the industry guidelines and in particular social distancing, we will be bringing in new measures to ensure that our tours conform to government guidelines whilst still providing enjoyment and value.
These measurements will include:
The above list is only a guide and not an exhaustive list of the measurements we are taking and we will be constantly reviewing our procedures in line with government updates. As is usual for our tours, you will receive an itinerary 10 days before your tour date and this will include any last minute revisions to our procedures. If you have any particular concerns, then please make enquiries prior to booking.
In addition, we are proud to be certified as carrying Visit England’s industry standard mark to confirm that We’re Good to Go. This logo shows that we are adhering to the respective Government and public health guidance, have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and have the required processes in place. If you would like to know more details in advance of your booking, then please do not hesitate to let us know.
In addition, all our Guides have recently completed the World Host Training in Keeping Customers Safe Beyond COVID-19.
Our core public tours, as listed below, are all also available as private tours. This means that groups of up to 6 people may request a personal tour on the date of their choice, for a one off, additional fee of £30. Please contact us for further information.
Prior to your tour, should you feel unwell and are experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms, please do not attempt to begin your tour. Equally, if our Guide has reason to believe that you are unwell then they have the right to prevent you from participating. During our tours, we ask that you are respectful of others and follow the guidelines and remain suitably distanced throughout your time with us.
In addition, when planning your visit to Newmarket, you may be interested to read our useful checklist to make sure you “Know Before You Go“. With all the new procedures that our tourism businesses are putting into place it is advisable to check ahead and be fully informed prior to your arrival. Please click here for more information.
