You may even spot one or two superstar horses, jockeys or trainers during your time on the heath.
From there you will go into one of Newmarket’s stables to see what happens in a typical day in a racing yard. Learn all about the routines and meet the people who make it all happen. Newmarket is home to some historic yards, fantastic tales of great achievements and racing folklore.
Head to The National Stud for tea, coffee and biscuits at the Wavertree’s Coffee Shop before going on a special tour of The National Stud. This 500-acre stud farm has a wonderful history and is home to resident stallions, retired National Hunt legends and every year serves as the birthplace for the next generation of potential champions. Meet the foals who might go on to becoming the next big superstars.
The tour then moves on to Palace House where you will redeem your voucher towards lunch at The Tack Room before admission to the galleries. Here you will learn more about the fascinating history of the town and how Royalty has played such a huge part in racing throughout the centuries including of course today. Find out more about the science behind the industry in this amazing interactive and state of the art museum.
