      Newmarket is conveniently located on the A14 which offers excellent connections to all major roads in the East of England.

      A14 – 30 minutes to Bury St Edmunds
      A142 – 30 minutes to Ely

      Getting to Newmarket by Rail

      Newmarket railway station provides regular services to Cambridge to the west and Ipswich to the east. Both offer fast and regular connections to and from London while Cambridge also offers good links to the Midlands and The North.

      Getting to Newmarket by Bus

      Newmarket bus station is served by various public services that offer easy connections to Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and beyond. There is also a National Express service from London.

      Newmarket is within easy reach of a number of international airports that serve most of Europe and further afield.

      Getting to Newmarket by Sea

      It is also possible to get to Newmarket by sea. Harwich International Port is located to the east of the town and operates regular passenger services to and from the Hook of Holland.

      There is also a  streetscape guide that shows an accessible route between the train station and the High Street detailing points of interest on route.  All members of Discover Newmarket have received free e-training about best practice for responding to accessibility enquiries and  Newmarket will feature in accessibility itineraries being developed for visitors wishing to explore Suffolk more widely.
