Our guided tours provide the opportunity to visit a variety of training yards many of which are historic and have fantastic tales of great achievements and racing folklore. Jack Jones

Chestnut Tree Stables

Based on Hamilton Road out of Ray Guests old yard, Jack sent out his first runners in 2022 with things taking off in his first full year of 2023 which yielded 29 winners, including The Waiting Game and Our Scholar plus a Cheltenham winner in An Bradan Feasa in December.

Ross Burden

Little White Yard

Based at the foot of Warren Hill, Ross is in his first season as a trainer, having built up experience working for top class trainers such as Sir Henry Cecil and Andrew Balding in the UK and champion trainer, Chris Waller in Australia.

James Horton

Park Lodge Stables

Working with some of 'Racing's Greats', James has made a great start to his training career, with 18% winners to runners in his first season, including a Listed winner and Group 3.

William Knight

Rathmoy Stables

Moving to Newmarket in April 2020, William has had nearly 400 winners, including success at Group 2, Group 3 and Listed level. In 2021, the yard saw the record of 34 winners.

Bottom Yard, Phantom House Stables

Growing up in South Africa, Cunha is known for being a Group One winning trainer in his home country. Now taking on a new challenge in Newmarket, training out of the iconic Phantom House Stables.

Authorised Yard

In August 2019 Patrick took out his dual purpose training licence, which in turn is a true accolade to over 25 years horsemanship within the Racing Industry, having more recently established a reputable pre-training operation here in Newmarket. Over the past 6 years Patrick has educated the future champions of the turf on the initial stages of becoming a Racehorse, for some of the town’s biggest stables, including John Gosden.

The son of a champion apprentice in Ireland, Phil McEntee has racing in the blood and rode on the flat and over jumps before turning to training.

Stuart Williams is an established trainer who has trained hundreds of winners since taking out a licence in 1994. Williams hails from a racing family and has also previously worked internationally.
