Places to Eat in Newmarket

Whatever time of day, great food is always on the menu in Newmarket’s cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs.

In a town that rises early to exercise champion thoroughbreds, you can expect a hearty breakfast, from the legendary full English buffet at Heath Court Hotel to a buttery pastry on the go at Victor Victoria.

Running late? Try brunch at The Pantry – one of its Bacon & Egg Whisky Sours is sure to pick-you-up. Or linger over an Italian-style grazing board for lunch at The Graze Kitchen.

Everything stops for afternoon tea at Nancy’s Vintage Teashop, where the tiers are piled high with delicate homemade sandwiches, cakes and scones.

Still hungry? it must be dinner time. There’s fine dining at Squires at Bedford Lodge Hotel and spicy curries at Montaz. Or perhaps you would like a table in the corner of the bar at The Packhorse Inn just outside town.
