Then lastly to the all important evening meal whether shared with family, friends or colleagues. From the exquisite Packhorse Inn at Moulton to its sister restaurant the Three Blackbirds , Woodditton you won’t be disappointed with the settings, food or service at either venue.

If you are looking for a less traditional cuisine then you can’t beat the superbly served and presented Indian classics at  Montaz  or the Italian styled grazing boards at The Graze Kitchen. Alternatively, The Pantry is the go to eatery for all dining occasions and  effortlessly transforms itself from daytime to evening service.

Or why not head in the opposite direction and try The Red Lion in Soham or the Merry Monk in Isleham. Both boasting the charm of being housed in  17th century buildings they offer beautifully presented dishes that are a mix of traditional dishes with a subtle modern twist applied.

A little bit further on from Soham and you arrive at the wonderful boutique Poets House in Ely. Here you are made welcome whatever the time of day and can enjoy your choice of food in either the elegant bar, the stylish dinning room or even alfresco if the weather is being kind. Or head to Cambridge, just 14 miles away where the Quy Mill Hotel,  and Fellows House all provide superb eating options for you to enjoy whatever time of day you arrive.
