Discover Newmarket Launches New Website to Showcase the Home of Horseracing

We are excited to announce the launch of our new Discover Newmarket website, created to give visitors, local residents, members and racing enthusiasts a clearer, more inspiring way to explore everything Newmarket has to offer.

Our new website brings together our guided tours, local attractions, places to stay, food and drink, events, visitor information and business support in one easy-to-use online platform.

In addition to a fresh new look and feel, improved navigation and enhanced features, the website also includes an AI-powered assistant designed to help visitors create their perfect trip to Newmarket based on their own individual preferences.

Whether someone is planning a family day out, a behind-the-scenes racing experience, a weekend break, a group visit or a visit built around food, culture and local attractions, the assistant can help guide them towards the most relevant options.

The site is also now available in multiple languages, helping us ensure that overseas visitors are just as well served when planning their trip to Newmarket. As an internationally recognised destination and the Home of Horseracing, it is important that visitors from around the world can access useful information in a way that is clear, welcoming and easy to understand.

As the official tourism organisation for Newmarket, our role is to promote the town, support the local visitor economy and help more people discover why Newmarket is such a unique and special destination. The launch of our new website is an important step in making that easier, more accessible and more engaging for everyone.

The website has been designed around the different reasons people visit Newmarket. Whether someone is planning a behind-the-scenes racing experience, looking for a family day out, booking a group visit, searching for accommodation, or exploring what’s on locally, the new site provides a simple and useful starting point.

A key focus of the project has been improving how we present our guided tours and experiences. Visitors can now browse our public tours more easily, explore private and group tour options, view upcoming events and find the practical information they need to plan their visit.

Our new website also gives us a stronger platform to support our members and local tourism partners. It allows us to promote events, attractions, hospitality venues, experiences and town-wide activity more effectively throughout the year.

Tracey Harding, Chief Executive of Discover Newmarket, said:

“We are delighted to launch our new website, which gives Discover Newmarket a much stronger digital platform to showcase the town and support our members.

“Newmarket has so much to offer, from its world-famous horseracing heritage to its attractions, events, businesses and visitor experiences. Our new website helps bring all of that together in one place and makes it easier for people to plan their visit.

“We are especially excited to have brought the site into a new era with AI-powered features designed to improve the user experience. The introduction of our AI visitor assistant and multi-language functionality means we can support people in a more personalised and accessible way, whether they are visiting from the local area, elsewhere in the UK or overseas.”

The new website was developed in partnership with Advantage AGI, A digital Marketing and AI consultancy based in Cambridge, they have created a platform that better reflects the depth of Newmarket’s tourism offer and gives Discover Newmarket more flexibility to promote the town online.

The launch marks an important step in our ongoing work to raise the profile of Newmarket as a leading visitor destination in the East of England. While our racing heritage remains central to the town’s identity, the new website also helps us highlight the wider experiences, businesses and attractions that make Newmarket a place to visit, explore and return to.

We invite visitors, members and local partners to explore the new website at discovernewmarket.co.uk.
