National Racehorse Week returns from 22 to 31 August 2026, celebrating the remarkable animals at the heart of British racing.
Now in its sixth year, the nationwide event gives members of the public a rare opportunity to step behind the scenes at training yards, studs and racehorse aftercare centres. Visitors can discover the exceptional care racehorses receive throughout their lives and meet the people responsible for their health, training and wellbeing.
Experiences vary between venues and may include meeting racehorses and retired stable stars, guided yard tours, visits to the gallops and demonstrations from farriers, vets and equine therapists.
