Harvest Weekend at Ely Cathedral

Harvest Weekend at Ely Cathedral

From: 10th October 2026

To: 11th October 2026

Celebrate the Harvest!
‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’
Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 October

Everyone is warmly invited to join us for a special Harvest Celebration at the Cathedral, inspired by the much-loved hymn All Things Bright & Beautiful.

As we come together to give thanks for the gifts of the earth and the talents we have been blessed with, the Cathedral will be transformed with beautiful seasonal decorations and vibrant displays.

On Saturday families can enjoy seeing a tractor outside the Cathedral and, inside, children will have the chance to climb aboard mini ride-on tractors and take part in a variety of harvest-themed activities.

Members of the Cathedral team will be available to chat about the life and work of the Cathedral, offering a unique opportunity to discover more about this historic place of worship and the many ways to get involved in our community.

The Nave will be filled with stunning floral arrangements created by the Cathedral Flower Guild, alongside inspiring harvest displays from G’s, the NFU and local schools. We are also delighted to welcome the Cambridge Bee Keeping Association, who will be sharing fascinating insights into the world of bees and their vital role in our environment. Visitors can also enjoy honey tasting, discovering how different flowers and landscapes influence the flavour of the honey.

Ely Food Bank will be collecting food donations during the weekend, if you are able to contribute, please do come and support them.

Whether you’re visiting for the flowers, the family activities, the harvest displays or simply to enjoy the atmosphere of this much-loved festival, we look forward to welcoming you.

Ground floor entry is free on Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 October.

Octagon Tower Tours & West Tower Experiences will be available to book (charges apply).
