There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who absolutely love Christmas and go all out with their decorations, Christmas jumpers and just generally getting into the festive spirit. Then there are those who think the stores start their displays too early each year and that the carols start too soon. Bah, Humbugs!
We’ve put together a list of events and happenings over the next few weeks for those who may have thought ‘what is there to do around me this Festive Season?’
Don’t forget about our special Christmas Gift Voucher offer currently running. For more information on this click here.
From the 29th November until the 2nd December there will be four terrific days of Christmas celebrations taking place in Newmarket.
A Christmas Market and late-night shopping until 8pm on the first two days mean that you will be able to get those Christmas gifts sorted out and avoiding the last-minute rush! There will be loads of good quality food, drink and craft traders displaying their wares. The market will include some fun FREE Christmas cookery demonstrations such as the Christmas BBQ zone to get you prepared for the big day – as well as FREE children’s Christmas cooking and cookie decorating classes.
The Severals will spring to life with a Fairground and several attractions like classic Walzers, Family Dodgems, a Big Fun House and the Ice Mountain Slide.
There’s also the chance for children to meet Father Christmas at the Mews at Palace House. Taking place on the 1st and 2nd of December, from 10am there will be shows every hour and there will also be a gift handout at the end of each performance.
Speaking of performances, the Memorial Hall will be hosting a number of showcases on the 1st and 2nd of December with Ballet, Pantomime and Magic Shows from 10am each day.
To make sure that you don’t miss out on any of the events, a Land Train will also be running so jump aboard and let it ferry you to all the various attractions.
