The Newmarket season has begun with The Craven Meeting taking place last week and the highly anticipated QIPCO Guineas Festival taking place at the Rowley Mile Racecourse on 6th and 7th May! Not only does the racing season bring with it some fantastic excitement on the racecourse, but also at Europe’s largest bloodstock auctioneers with the Tattersalls Sales.
Everyone loves a good race, but not so many of us understand just how the careers of these equine stars begin.
The next sale to take place will be the Guineas Breeze Up Sale, on 4th and 5th May, and will coincide with the aforementioned Guineas Festival. This sale will see 213 breeze up two year olds and 91 horses in training going under the hammer and with 48 of their sires already siring Classic or Group 1 winners, there could well be a future champ among them.
At the Tattersalls Sales, members of the public are welcome to come along and watch the excitement unfold which is an amazing experience in itself, however, why not take it one-step further with our Tattersalls Tour on Thursday 4th May?
This exclusive tour only takes place on sales days and will give you an unrivalled insight. One of our expert guides will be with you every step of the way, telling you the history of the auctioneers as well as offering tips and guidance as to exactly what some of the most prestigious buyers in the world are looking for when purchasing a thoroughbred.
