Prepare for a sizzling day of family fun as the much-loved Newmarket Sausage Festival returns to Market Square on Saturday 26th September 2026, from 10am to 3pm.
Celebrating all things sausage, this free annual event is set to be the biggest and most entertaining festival yet. Visitors can look forward to an expanded programme packed with sausage-themed activities, live entertainment, and an even greater selection of food and drink traders serving up delicious local produce and culinary treats.
A brand-new addition for 2026 is the Cookery Theatre, where talented chefs will demonstrate a variety of imaginative and mouth-watering ways to cook with sausages. From classic recipes to creative contemporary dishes, the demonstrations are sure to inspire home cooks and food lovers alike.
Festival favourites will also be making a welcome return. The ever-popular Sausage Dog Competition promises plenty of canine charm, while the legendary Sausage Pan Races will once again see competitors battle it out for glory in one of Newmarket’s most entertaining traditions.
