The Tattersalls December Sales are nearly upon us and will mark the end of another busy year for the world’s oldest bloodstock auctioneers. It also means the last chance for you to go behind the scenes at this amazing place on one of our Tattersalls Tours which are running on 30th November and 5th December.

But what makes the Tattersalls December Sales so special? The answer is that this is where it all begins for a huge number of Group 1 winners and you get the chance to witness the start of their journey to stardom.

For example, the offspring of dams (or mothers) sold at the December Breeding Stock Sale have achieved a total of no less than 197 Group 1 wins since 2012. We think you’ll agree that that’s quite a significant number!

But arguably more exciting is seeing the actual foals, still wet behind the ears and bursting with potential, begin their racing careers.

There have been 14 Group 1 winners since 2012 that were bought at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale and below we have listed them all for you, along with how much they sold for (you might be surprised how realtively cheaply you can pick up a winner!).
