If sticking to a romantic meal is more what you are after then, Poets House, Ely has a wonderful three course Sharing Menu on offer. Priced at £70 for two it also includes a red rose and glass of champagne. Each course offers a number of choices but of course you do both need to like the same things!
Or try The Pantry, Newmarket who are tempting you with oysters, lobster or Tomahawk steak to name just a few specialities from the varied menu. This three course set menu is priced at £40 per person.
Alternatively, try the four course meal for two with a glass of wine/bubbles or pint of beer for £75 per person at the Quy Mill Hotel, just 8 miles from Newmarket.
