Phoenix Cycleworks

Phoenix Cycleworks is owned, built and run by local riders. The vision when it was launched in 2016 was to create a destination for mountain bikers in an area not renowned for its mountains.

The Phoenix Cycleworks retail space provides cyclists of every discipline with exceptional selection, service, and hospitality. Visitors can relax in the friendly and welcoming cafe and cyclists can refuel after an epic ride or put their feet up after a grueling effort on the bike.

The team at Phoenix Cycleworks has a  clear  focus  on products and apparel that provide exceptional function and style. Their  knowledgeable staff all have backgrounds in cycling and are ready to share their experience to assist you.

An exciting feature at Phoenix Cycleworks is the Bike Park. This project is very much a work in progress with the aim being to create a memorable riding experience in East Anglia, the flattest part of the country.  Through the creation of man made wooden features and by using the natural gradient provided by an old disused gravel pit Phoenix Cycleworks hope to bring a small taste of Wales or the Alps to Suffolk!

An intense approx. 3. 5 mile cross country / cyclocross course   incorporates features  such as jumps ,table tops , various drops and a rock feature. These key features have been designed to test your mettle and hopefully improve your skills before heading off to the mountains proper… be it mastering a drop or getting air!!

The total size of the site is around 25 acres and is easily accessible and located on the A14 between Bury Edmunds and Newmarket.
