Alexandra Kingswell is a textile artist whose work could be described as a love affair with colour.
Following a degree in communications design and a career as a graphic designer, she turned her attention to fine art – and found a wonderful freedom to express her ideas through textile and colour. Her early work with mathematicians sparked a lasting fascination with the relationship between number, proportion, and beauty in the natural world – an influence that continues to shape her artistic approach.
Her aim is to give viewers a joyful and arresting visual experience. To inspire deep contemplation. To lift spirits and make people smile. To foster hope and joy. (And maybe also to intrigue them a little!)
