The ancient estate of Castringham Hall holds many mysteries. Why do the windows rattle on windless nights? Why do guests in the west-facing bedroom rarely survive the night? And what exactly has taken up residence in the old ash tree…?
This Christmas, Bring Out Your Dead returns to the atmospheric Undercroft at Moyse’s Hall, for a reading of this spine-chilling ghost story by the undisputed master of the genre.
‘The Ash Tree’ will be read in a double-bill alongside ‘The Wailing Well’ – in which Stanley Judkins, terror of the Eton Scout Troop, comes face-to-face with a terror of his own.
For anyone whose Christmas isn’t complete without a good ghost story!
