The Spirit of the Fens is a performance that brings communities together both live and virtually, as part of Ely Arts Festival.
Join us to celebrate the creativity that has continued to blossom throughout the COVID-19 pandemic across Ely and the surrounding villages.
Featuring live music to accompany dramatic drone footage of Ely Cathedral and the fens and virtual ‘lockdown’ projects from local choirs, schools and artists.
The celebration will conclude with a performance of ‘The Spirit of the Fens’ a vocal work by the composer Nils Greenhow featuring local schools and other community groups. There will also be live music by Lantivet Duo (Violin and Piano).
The performance will also include the unveiling of a new community art project ‘Fen Stitch Together: Do More Of What Makes You Happy Quilt’.
