For one night only – the Making Magical Memories Christmas event is back for 2019! There is a fantastic evening lined up for you on Friday 15th November from 5:00pm with special guest star from stage and screen Ray Quinn!
Christmas Light Switch on with Ray Quinn
Ray Quinn, 2006 X factor runner up and winner of ITV’s Dancing On Ice as well as having success as a recording artist and in the West End. Ray will be joining us in Newmarket to switch on our Christmas Lights. As well as this, he will be giving us a fantastic performance from 7:15pm till 8:00pm. Ray is also about to release his new album and we look forward to hearing from of his new tracks on the night.
Fairground
Everyone loves a fun fair! At the Making Magical Memories Christmas event, this will be on the High Street.
There is guaranteed to be something for all of the family!
The fairground will be open from 5:00pm and will close at 9:00pm.
Late Night Shopping
Late night shopping will take place on Friday 15th November till 9:00pm. Participating stores will be taking part in late night shopping. Keep an eye on the Love Newmarket social media platforms to find out where you can shop till you drop.
Music and Entertainment
There will be plenty of entertainment on the go at the Making Magical Memories Christmas event. Acts will include Frankenstein’s Lobster, Adam Philpott, Jacen Bruce and the one and only Ray Quinn who will of course be switching on the Christmas Lights this year.
The stage will be, as last year, at the top of Newmarket High Street and everyone is welcome to come along and get included with the festivities. Music and Entertainment will begin at 5:00pm and will continue throughout the evening.
Nutcracker Trail
Also returning this year will be the Nutcracker Trail. Families will be able to find clues around the town and complete the Nutcracker Trail booklets and enter a competition to win a cash prize. Also, re-introducing the nutcracker selfie – take a picture with one of the nutcrackers tagging @lovenewmarket and using the hashtag #nktnutcracker and one person will win a £50 prize.
There will also be awards for children at local schools, music, entertainment and fun – here’s to Making Magical Memories in 2019!
