With Easter just around the corner, there’s the promise of warmer weather and the chance to celebrate over the long weekend, is in sight. With this in mind, we’ve pulled together some of the best offerings in and around Newmarket for this Easter.
Easter Paw-ty at the National Horseracing Museum
Saturday 30th March 2024
Think your dog has the waggiest tail or maybe you just can’t wait to show off their Easter outfit? Then this is a party you won’t want to miss! Come and celebrate Easter with the National Horseracing Museum and join in with the doggie themed events, including their Fun Dog Show.
The entertainment starts at 10.30am with Pet Blessing in the King’s Yard by Revd Robert Otule from the neighbouring All Saints Church. Afterwards explore the grounds of the museum with their Easter Trail which has been tailored for families as well as pooches. Plus, there will be lots of fun, creative activities to join in with too.
Admission is £5 for adults, children and dogs free. Event price applies to all admissions, and includes access to the outside areas of the museum only.

Easter Egg Hunt at Chippenham Park Gardens

Chippenham Park Gardens are hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Good Friday. Enjoy the outdoors and the beauty of the gardens, whilst the little ones hunt for those all important colourful red, blue and yellow Easter bunnies. If you manage to find one of each colour, then it is straight back to the Kitchen Garden to claim your prize!
There will also be 3 Golden Bunnies hidden along the trail. If you’re lucky to find one, you’ll be able to receive an extra special egg! So be sure to keep your eyes peeled.
Pre-booking is essential, with times slots available throughout the day and no entry without pre-purchased tickets.

Easter Sunday Easter Egg Hunt
Sunday 31st March 2024
Head to Burwell Museum and Windmill as they open their doors for their Easter Egg Hunt, alongside their first open day and Windmill tours for 2024. There will be fun for all the family, with a chocolate prize for every egg hunter, even if you don’t finish!
This fun filled family event will commence at 10am, with the Easter Egg Hunt being available from 10 – 3pm. Make a day of it and book yourself onto one of their windmill tours, with tickets available in advance or on the day.
Last admission will be 3pm, with the museum closing at 4pm.

Easter Egg Hunt, Crafts and Games at The Fellows House
Friday 29th March 2024
Looking for further adventures this Easter? Why not head to The Fellows House, Cambridge for their annual Easter Egg Hunt, and fill your day with games, colouring and most importantly an Easter Egg Hunt around Fellows Garden.
This unmissable Easter event will have your child leaving with a variety of chocolatey treats, there own hand decorated Easter Egg ornament and much more! Taking part in the Easter Egg Hunt? Five lucky children will win BIG and have the chance to take home a large Easter Egg at the end of the hunt.
Booking is a must, with the event starting at 10am and the first round of egg hunting following soon after.
