We’re extremely excited to announce that our exclusive Race Day Tour will now take you inside the Parade Ring before a race to give you a unique perspective.
A day at the races is pretty special, the glamorous fashion, the colourful silks, the beautiful thoroughbreds and the thunder of hooves! However, very few of us get to experience all this from the point of view of the owners and trainers… until now!
We have recently updated the itinerary of our Race Day Tour to take you inside the Parade Ring before a race. Feel the buzz, admire the thoroughbreds and brush shoulders with the owners, trainers and jockeys as they prepare for the contest ahead.
This feature is a new addition to the existing itinerary, so you still get to do all of the amazing things as you did before, like experiencing the legendary Gallops, visiting the fascinating National Heritage Centre for Horseracing & Sporting Art, taking a behind-the-scenes tour of the Racecourse and enjoying admission to the Premier Enclosure!
Here’s the updated itinerary in full:
09.00 – Our guide will meet you at the Premier Enclosure Entrance to the Racecourse
09.10 – 10.10 – Time to visit Newmarket’s world famous training grounds where you will see the day’s second ‘lots’ being ridden out on Warren Hill.
10.20 – 12.00 – Time to visit the newly opened National Heritage Centre for Horseracing & Sporting Art which is situated in Charles II’s sporting palace and stables and spans five acres in the heart of Newmarket. It comprises of three complementary attractions; a new National Horseracing Museum, a National Art Gallery of British Sporting Art, and a chance to meet former racehorses and learn what they do after racing, in the flagship home of Retraining of Racehorses. You will have time to have a coffee break and get changed for your afternoon’s racing if you need to.
12.10 – 13.00 – Then your tour will take you up to the Racecourse for a fascinating behind-the-scenes tour. It’s access all areas to places never normally open to the public. You will visit the Weighing room, the Royal Box, Commentators box and press room. You will even get to experience the buzz inside the Parade Ring where you can brush shoulders with owners, trainers and jockeys! (Tour time may vary due to gates opening time. Please note, all areas are subject to availability on the day).
Until end – Your tour guide will point out the main areas of the racecourse before leaving you to enjoy an afternoon of exhilarating races.
Take advantage of this amazing opportunity and experience the races like you’ve never experienced them before!
