Not too far from Newmarket are two other wonderful options with the Red Lion in Soham well worth a booking as well as the delicious and decadent Afternoon Tea being offered at Poet’s House in Ely. Enjoy a selection of superb pastries and sweets in magnificent surroundings.

The Best Western Heath Court Hotel will be serving their popular Mother’s Day carvery between noon and 7pm . Choose from two or three courses and end off with coffee and mints. Booking is essential for this and can be done by calling 01638 676321. This is one of the Sunday afternoon staples and is always very popular.

Start with a glass of Prosecco before indulging in savouries and sandwiches and a selection of cakes to go with a variety of teas of Cafetiere coffee.  There is also a Children’s Tier
