Think all the flavours of Rogan Josh packed into a chargrilled chicken breast, topped with beetroot Raita and Paneer cheese. It also includes an onion bhaji on Roti bread.
The Bedford Lodge Burger is another to sink your teeth into with their take on a classic beef burger, topped with mature cheese, bacon, fried egg, onion ring, avocado, roasted peppers, burger relish and coleslaw. This one will definitely sort out any hunger pangs.
Other burgers on the National Burger Week menu include the Moroccan lamb burger, Mexian Nacho Burger, packed full of heat thanks to tempura jalapenos, and a Fish burger. There is also a vegan burger offering that includes a red lentil and pumpkin falafel pattie, coconut cream, sweetcorn relish and pickled red cabbage.

This is a great place to stop in for a burger and one of the great things about the menu at Berties inside the Heath Court Hotel is that they give you the option of ‘The Burger Builder’ which means you get to choose a burger to suit your tastes. Pick from British beef steak, grilled chicken breast, battered catch of the day or the vegetarian option, the Moving Mountains burger. All come with thick cut random chips and you can also add extras like bacon, smoked cheese, haloumi or blue cheese.
