Mother’s Day marks a special day in the calendar as we show our mums just how much they mean to us. So, if you are looking for ideas and inspiration on how to mark the occasion, then look no further.
The Bakery based at the National Horseracing Museum is offering a “Build your own Afternoon Tea”, whereby you can choose all your favourites to create a bespoke afternoon tea which you can serve at home or even in the garden, should we be blessed with warm weather. There is a mixture of sweet and savoury bakes on offer or just choose a sharing tray bake or selection of cupcakes to pass round.

A three course Lunch menu is on offer on Sunday 27th March at the Bedford Lodge Hotel for £45 per person. You can choose from classic roasts and traditional puddings such as Knickerbocker Glory and Apple Pie, all rounded off with tea or coffee and handmade chocolates.
If you are not able to physically meet up this Mother’s Day then you can still show how much you care by sending her a Gift Voucher. A great idea would be one of our Discover Newmarket Gift Vouchers, perhaps for one of our Champagne Afternoon Tea and Tours at the Jockey Club Rooms, priced at £49.

Staying on the champagne theme, how about a really indulgent present by Melville and Moon whose products instantly upgrade any alfresco occasion. This stylish champagne cooler which also doubles up as a wash basin if you happen to be on safari, may be just the present although at £200 it might have to double as a birthday present as well. And then what about the fizz? Look no further than Corney and Barrow wine merchants who can advise and who also stock a fine range of wines and champagnes along with some superb English Sparkling wines.
However you choose to celebrate Mother’s Day this year, we hope your day is filled with love and happiness. Happy Mother’s Day to all mums.
