We’d like to introduce to you the newest Discover Newmarket team member, Emma Howlett, who has joined as our new Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator.
Emma’s background couldn’t be better suited to the role. She has grown up with horses and has spent many years travelling the country competing. Combine this with her previous sales and marketing experience and it’s easy to see why she is perfect for the job.
“I wanted to follow my love for everything equine in a career with Discover Newmarket”, explains Emma, who cant wait to get stuck in. “I’m most excited about getting involved with organising the Discover Newmarket tours and helping to make sure that our guests have the best experience possible” she continues.
Originally from Suffolk, Emma is local to the area and has a big passion for Newmarket and the surrounding villages. Her great knowledge of the Suffolk area also enables her to offer the best possible advice.
Outside work, Emma’s first loves are riding, designing and her hobby of making interior soft furnishings. She also loves socialising and everything outdoors.
One of her favourite spots in Newmarket is the Adnams July Course, whether it’s a race day or not: “I love walking my dogs at the July Course in Newmarket, it’s such a beautiful setting and is a perfect way to get some fresh air and enjoy the countryside, and on race days I love to go with a big group of friends – it’s such a great atmosphere!” she says.
When asked, Emma tells us that her best experience so far in Newmarket has been none other than a Discover Newmarket tour, saying, “I went on one of our Country Mile Tours which was fab, especially visiting Warren Hill to see the horses exercise in the morning! Also, visiting James Owen’s yard was a fantastic peek behind the scenes of racing!”
