It’s that time of year again when everything goes dark and spooky! As always, there are lots of brilliant, themed entertainment on offer throughout the half-term holiday for families but there is also some adult fun to be had as well. Take a read of our pick of some of the best events on offer.

Creative Halloween Half Term, National Horseracing Museum
Join the Museum for a week of creative Art Cart activities over the October half-term which are all included as part of the general admission. This is a great opportunity to craft some fantastically spooky decorations and Halloween keepsakes. There are drop-in sessions running between Wednesday 26th to Sunday 30th October 2022, from 11am – 3pm. No need to book.

Family Fright Night, National Horseracing Museum
Palace House and the King’s Yard come to life once again for the return of the Family Fright Night on Friday 28th October. Explore the site after dark, hear ghostly stories and follow the spooky trail. The event gets underway at 5pm and tickets cost £5 per adult, reduced to £3 if you’re in costume! Children go free. Suitable for all ages. Tickets can be booked online. Plus, free brownie from The Bakery for anyone that comes dressed up and take a picture with their dry ice displays!!

Spookily Fun Family Supper, The Pantry
The Pantry will be suitably decorated for the occasion, and they encourage you to dress up also! Enjoy a family meal between 4 pm and 6 pm, on Thursday 27th October. Children’s tickets £10 which includes a Halloween Mocktail, main course and a cupcake for pudding that you get to decorate yourself! Adults are welcome to order from the à la carte menu or daily specials.

Children’s Halloween Party, Wildtracks
On Friday 28th October, between 12 to 2pm it is all happening at Wildtracks where they welcome you to their outdoor party. With craft activities, spooky scavenger hunts, ghoulish games, disco music and a prize for best dressed little monster. Wrap up warm and feel free to bring a picnic lunch. Tea and coffee available to purchase. £8 per child. Suitable for 2 to 11 year olds.

Throwback Halloween Haunted House Party, The Ark
For the adults, head to Newmarket’s best entertainment venue where the music will be a mixture of 90s & 00s RnB & Hip hop! Doors open at 9 pm and whilst fancy dress is not mandatory, there is a £250 prize for best costume!

The Blair Waffle Project, The Waffle Hut
Have you heard about The Blair Waffle Project? A week of fabulous offers and activities. Kids eat free on 24th, 25th and 26th October plus pumpkin carving also on 26th. Phoenix Frights, Phoenix Cycleworks
Calling all thrill-seekers! On Saturday 29th October come and ride the Phoenix Scare Trail. This totally immersive experience takes place in almost complete darkness. BBQ and live DJ add to the event which is not for the faint hearted! Prizes on the night for the best Halloween costumes. Riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
