As a family of farmers, Powters began making sausages in 1881, and their traditional Butchery and Deli continues to offer a full range of meats and locally sourced deli produce.
It is also home of the Celebrated Newmarket Sausage amongst a range of others which are now award winning and widely available throughout the East of England.
With a desire to bring their Butchery & Deli produce to a wider audience they now supply their full range of meats and deli products throughout the UK via their online, chilled delivery service. As farmers, they have the ability and knowledge to select the best breeds and ensure a high welfare status for all their animals, whether they have come from their own farm or those of their suppliers. They guarantee their customers the very best meat, expertly presented by their skilled butchers.
Powters also feature in Discover Newmarket’s Food and Drink Taster Tour as well as supporting our welcome back of coach tours campaign whereby all group tour operators now receive two packs of Powters sausages as a thank you for bringing their groups to Newmarket.
