For Worship & Glory II Exhibition at Ely Cathedral

An exhibition of ecclesiastical works from the Collection of the Royal School of Needlework, alongside contemporary fashion pieces from the RSN’s Degree programme.

27 January – 13 March
Monday – Saturday: 10am – 4pm | Sunday: 12.30pm – 3.30pm*

Following the success of the previous Worship and Glory exhibition in 2015, the RSN are returning to Ely with more stunning displays with an ecclesiastical focus. This second exhibition will be enriched by several fashion pieces from the RSN’s Degree programme.

Highlights include the opportunity to see all 12 panels of the Litany of Loreto. This will be the first time they have been exhibited together since 2013, enabling close scrutiny of these amazing works alongside some of the original designs created by Italian graphic designer Ezio Anichini.

The RSN is not just about historic embroidery. Their current students produce some stunning contemporary pieces of work for fashion and interiors and some of which will be displayed alongside the traditional ecclesiastical pieces, showcasing a variety of techniques and revealing how embroidery is represented today.
