Go behind the scenes at a working thoroughbred stud farm on this spectacular 500-acre site in Newmarket, the headquarters of British racing.
The National Stud will once again be operating their school holiday tour schedule this half term with daily tours Monday-Friday at 11:15 and twice daily tours on Saturday and Sunday at 11:15 and 14:00.

This half-day morning tour is perfect for little legs to enjoy! Experience the excitement of the gallops with exclusive access to Warren Hill during training. Then go behind the scenes at a racing stables to learn more about this fascinating sport.
You’ll finish off by discovering the history of Newmarket and learning all about its connections to horseracing at the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing & Sporting Art.

Head over to Palace House during half term in Newmarket and have a go at grooming a pony! These friendly residents will be available for the kids to brush and cuddle and there will be the opportunity to learn more about their welfare and nutrition.

Come and explore the Packard Galleries in our special Museums at Night event. Meet the servants preparing for the Rothschild family Halloween festivities, Get hands-on with some Edwardian games such as apple-bobbing! Crafts and stories will take place throughout the evening in The Mews so come down and join in the fun! All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Traditional parlour games, blind man’s bluff, apple bobbing, storytelling and crafts – do not miss our eerie Edwardian Halloween Family Fun this Saturday!
