When it comes to family days out in Newmarket, Newmarket Racecourses have got it sorted with their fantastic Summer Saturdays! Each of these events includes a whole host of family-friendly activities to accompany the day’s racing.

22nd July 2017
Kick off the summer holidays with this celebration of of all the greatest British traditions. Enjoy giant deck chairs, donkey rides, Punch & Judy shows, traditional swing boats, face painting and a toy town carousel.
29th July 2017
Countryside Day is jam-packed full of rural-themed entertainment! Enjoy some great family fun with pony rides, a mini farm, a petting zoo, face painting, ferret racing and a sheep dog and ducks display!
5th August 2017
What better way to enjoy a lovely summer’s day than with a delicious picnic? At the Great British Picnic Day, you will be able to purchase picnics and, for this day only, eat them in the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure! There is also plenty of family entertainment, including appearances from Paddington Bear!
12th August 2017
This is one of the most popular Summer Saturdays and supports a very worthy cause. There will be a VE Street Party theme and racegoers are encouraged to dress up in their most authentic outfits to get into the spirit of the day. There will also be music from brass bands along with plenty of family entertainment.
18th August 2017
This brilliant raceday offers you an opportunity to get even more of an insight into horseracing as a sport. The family enclosure will host the ‘Horseplay Roadshow’ offering interactive learning, pony rides, inflatables and face painting!
