The end of the school year is here, and the summer holidays are ahead of us. We know that trying to find fun things to do throughout those long six weeks can be some-what daunting! So, we’ve pulled together four fun places we think that your kids will love!

Head to the National Horseracing Museum during the summer holidays, for creative workshops every Wednesday and Friday. Sessions include printmaking, stenciling, t-shirt printing, pasta making and much more! These free, drop-in activities run from 11am to 3pm.
Why not make a day of it? Take in the displays around the Museum, meet the resident ex-racehorses, the Museum Mini Shetland Ponies, Kizzy and Harry, and even have a ride on our racehorse simulator!

Looking to get out and about to burn off some of that summer holiday energy? Why not take a trip to Phoenix Cycleworks, and explore over 15 acres of pump tracks, trails, jumps and drops, with areas marked out for beginners through to advanced riders.
Bring your own bike, or pick from a wide selection of hire bike options, suitable for all ages and abilities, so even mum and dad can get involved!
Phoenix Cylceworks also host a wide range of events throughout the year, including the Summer Jam that takes place on 10th August where they will be bringing the holiday vibes with their Hawaiian theme. You can expect a variety of competitions throughout the day, so if you’re heading along, don’t forget to pack your best party shirt.

Looking for something different to do this summer? Well look no further than West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village. Featuring extensive indoor galleries and a stunning recreation of an Anglo-Saxon village, West Stow is a fascinating and enjoyable day out for all the family, come rain or shine.
Take a look at their introductory archery course, create useful and decorative items as you re-discover their Native Plant Fibres, or enjoy an outdoor performance of The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck.
West Stow is on the site of an early Anglo-Saxon village, occupied from AD 420 – 650, and allows visitors to explore the history and nature of the village, dress up as an Anglo-Saxon or even say hello to the rare breed pigs and chickens.
